Opportunity Village Presents an Evening of Wine Tasting and Art

Las Vegas, NV (August 1, 2011) - Opportunity Village presents ‘O Viva Friday’, a wine tasting and art walk extravaganza, on August 5, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the lush garden deck of Café Nikki at the all-new Tropicana Las Vegas. Innovative artists from Opportunity Village’s Art Enrichment Program will showcase original artwork, and guests will have the opportunity to mingle with the artists while tasting an impressive collection of delectable, Australian wines.

Opportunity Village seeks to help people with disabilities to develop and maintain a positive self-image through the arts and other life-enriching activities. Opportunity Village’s Art Enrichment Program, which includes a professional fine-arts studio and artist supervision, is a comprehensive visual arts program that provides an opportunity for individuals who struggle with intellectual and related disabilities to discover their creative passions. The Art Enrichment Program is designed to encourage self-expression and to provide settings for social interaction and the development of peer relationships. The program is offered inside the state-of-the-art Kitty Rodman Event Center at the Engelstad Campus, located at 6050 S. Buffalo Dr. from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Artwork on exhibit at ‘O Viva Friday’ will feature watercolors, abstracts, portraits, hand-painted silk scarves, and more. Guests will be able to sample an assortment of delightful wines while enjoying acoustic guitar melodies and perusing original art available for purchase.

Tickets can be purchased for $20 outside of Café Nikki on the night of the event. All proceeds from this event will benefit Opportunity Village.
