TROPICANA LAS VEGAS INC. APPOINTS NEW MEMBER OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Las Vegas, NV (September 21, 2011) –Tropicana Las Vegas Inc. announced Thursday that commended marketer Michael Ribero has been named the fifth member of its Board of Directors.

“I am thrilled to have a professional of Michael’s caliber join our Board of Directors,” said Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Tropicana Las Vegas Alex Yemenidjian. “His marketing experience will be invaluable to our company.”

“I am excited to serve on the Board of Directors and to work with Alex and his team at the new Tropicana Las Vegas,” said Michael Ribero. “With innovative marketing required for success in Las Vegas, especially in today’s environment, I look forward to doing whatever I can to take full advantage of the resort’s amazing recent transformation.”

This is not Ribero’s first “tour” in Las Vegas, as he served as Hilton Hotel Corporation’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer from 1988 until 1995, which included marketing and strategy of the corporation’s Las Vegas property. Ribero is currently a consultant to the media, hospitality, and entertainment industries, having most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of television advertising company IdeaCast, Inc. from November 2008 through July 2009. Prior to that, Ribero held positions as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of advertising company Reactrix Inc., and President of Brierley & Partners, a direct marketing and customer loyalty solutions provider, as well as President of e-Rewards, Inc., a subsidiary of Brierley & Partners.

Ribero also spent six years in the video gaming industry, holding executive positions with Midway Games, Inc., Radical Entertainment, and SEGA of America, Inc. Prior to working in the video gaming industry, Ribero spent almost ten years in the travel industry, first as Vice President of Marketing Programs for Eastern Airlines, Inc. before joining Hilton in 1988. Ribero began his career in brand management at Procter & Gamble.

Ribero currently serves on the board of directors of the U.S. Marketing College.
